Our client is a main dealership looking to recruit an experienced Workshop Controller to join their busy site.

Workshop Controller Role:

You will manage a busy and thriving workshop daily, overseeing Technicians. This position is responsible for all aspects of workshop management, including issuing work, tooling & equipment, and Health & Safety.

Workshop Controller – Key responsibilities:
  • Full responsibility for issuing work, considering loading and customer commitments as coordinated with the reception team.
  • Ensure workshop processes comply with retail, internal, and warranty guidelines.
  • Ensure all work is issued efficiently.
  • Oversee issuing and progress of Sales Department preparation work.
  • Provide updates on workshop progress, highlighting potential issues and taking preventative actions to maintain Customer Satisfaction.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety Legislation.
Workshop Controller – Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Workshop Controller or Service Manager is preferred.
  • Confidence and a strong understanding of workshop processes and team management.
  • Full driving license; notify any endorsements.
  • IT literacy; Kerridge knowledge is a plus.
  • Good numerical and administrative skills, with attention to detail for KPI accuracy.
