Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm

Salary:

Up to £41,000 including OTE

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our VW site for an experienced Workshop Controller to join our dynamic team in our impressive facility. This role offers a great chance for a talented and enthusiastic Workshop Controller to advance their career with VW.

As a Workshop Controller, you will supervise and motivate our team of Technicians & Apprentices, proactively review and prioritize the daily workload, and be a crucial part of our Aftersales Department. You will report to the Aftersales Manager, who will provide ongoing support and brand-specific training to help you progress within the VW brand and the motor trade industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the workshop, ensuring technicians meet their targets, maintaining high customer satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with company, DVSA, health and safety, and OEM policies.

• Ensure all working practices comply with relevant policies and standards.
• Oversee that all service work is carried out correctly, competently, and on time, with customer satisfaction in mind.
• Maintain relationships with vehicle manufacturers and support technicians during repairs, ensuring high standards are achieved.
• Liaise with colleagues and other departments to provide top-quality customer service.
• Schedule work considering workshop targets, job complexity, and parts availability.
• Assist with technical challenges and support the team, including writing technical reports.
