Our client is a main car dealership looking to recruit a Workshop Controller to join their busy site.

Workshop Controller Role:
You will manage a busy workshop daily, overseeing Technicians. This role involves all aspects of workshop management, including issuing work, managing tooling & equipment, and ensuring Health & Safety compliance.

Workshop Controller – Key Responsibilities:
Full responsibility for issuing work, considering workload and customer commitments as coordinated with the reception team.
Ensure workshop processes adhere to retail, internal, and warranty guidelines.
Optimize work issuance for efficiency.
Oversee sales department preparation work.
Communicate work progress, flag potential issues, and implement preventative measures to maintain customer satisfaction.
Maintain thorough knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.

Workshop Controller Requirements:
Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Foreman, Manager, or Service Manager preferred.
Confident with strong workshop process knowledge and team leadership skills.
Full driving license; notify any endorsements.
IT skills required; Kerridge knowledge is a plus.
Good numerical and administrative skills with attention to detail for KPI accuracy.
