Workshop Administrator

We have an excellent opportunity for a Workshop Inventory Administrator to join a world leading organisation supplying specialist equipment to the service industry.

The Workshop Administrator/Inventory Administrator will be responsible for processing all equipment that has been damaged into repairs and onto the company’s inventory system.

Duties
  • Reviewing all items that are brought to the Repairs stock department.
  • Creating repairs tickets for each damaged or broken item as they are received from other departments.
  • Adding detailed notes of the damage to the item in the ticket description and photos onto the inventory system.
  • Using inventory/stock control system to identify when repairs are chargeable to production and marking them as such.
  • Preparing all the repairs into containers or on pallets to send to the internal team or external supplier as required.
  • Understanding the priorities of the incoming repair stock and highlighting any priority items to the repairs team.
  • Liaising with colleagues in the accounts department on equipment returning with known faults.
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure damaged equipment is processed in good time upon return.
  • Liaising with the relevant team members regarding items beyond economical repair and following the process for recording and disposing of these items.
  • Ensuring the repairs stock area is always maintained in an efficient and organised manner with all equipment easily accessible and identifiable.
Required Experience and Skills
  • Must hold a valid UK driving license and be able to drive, on occasion when needed, the repairs vehicle.
  • Must be IT literate and able to learn inventory/stock control management systems.
  • Have good experience in inventory and stock control.
  • Experience in inventory control, stock control, warehouse, or workshop administration.
  • Self-motivated and organised with the ability to plan workload and keep track of multiple jobs.
