Anglian Water Services is seeking a Works Technician – Process Controller in Haverhill. The role offers a starting salary of £31,756 with progression up to £42,873, plus standby and overtime payments. Full-time with flexibility for part-time, based in Haverhill and surrounding areas.

Hours are typically 08:00–16:00, Monday to Friday, with standby and occasional weekend work paid separately. You will help service and maintain water recycling processes and facilities, ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

• Field/engineering experience preferred but not essential.
• Strong health and safety understanding is required.
• Full UK manual driving licence is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water treatment assets, including tanks, pumps, screens, blowers, valves and meters.
• Perform preventative and reactive servicing and maintenance tasks.
• Carry out process sampling and escalate any issues as needed.

Works Technician – Process Controller

Salary – Starting at £31,756 with progression opportunities up to £42,873 Basic + standby & overtime payments

All tools, PPE, Business use of company van provided

Full Time / Permanent, with flexibility for part time
Location – Haverhill & surrounding areas

Hours – Our processes operate 24/7, whilst the working hours for this role are generally Monday – Friday, 08.00 - 16.00, we can offer flexibility on the start and finishing times. Please note there is a requirement for standby and occasional weekend working which come with their own pay rates.

Water Recycling is at the heart of our operations. The key services that we are responsible for are delivered by our in-house, highly skilled workforce. We collect and treat the water that customers have used, returning it to the environment via rivers and coastal outlets. Our network includes 76,000 kilometers of sewers which feed over 1,000 water recycling centers.

Your Role

The Works Technician Process Controller has a responsibility to ensure that our Water Recycling treatment processes and systems are serviced and maintained within the relevant regulatory compliance – you’ll do this by:

• Operating and maintaining our assets including tanks, pumps, screens, blowers, valves, motors, flow meters, compressors and much more.
• Performing preventative and reactive servicing and maintenance such as lubrication on the systems above.
• Carrying out process sampling to ensure things are operating as they should be and escalating any issues.
• Complying with company safety policy & procedures as well as maintaining good housekeeping
• Exploring and ensuring that we maintain the lowest possible energy demands without compromising compliance
• In this role you must be able to work within a confined space, and at height without restrictions. Due to harness weight limits, your maximum weight cannot be in excess of 113 kilograms and you will be expected to complete relevant occupational health checks

About you – Background and Experience

• Experience working in a Field/Engineering environment is ideal
• Experience of working in a process / quality assurance environment would also be an advantage, however not essential
• Good understanding of Health & Safety
• Must have a Full UK Manual Driving Licence

• Problem solver, with the ability to work quickly and using own initiative

• Excellent team player, demonstrating an enthusiastic and proactive approach
