Job summary

Anglian Water is seeking a Works Technician - Process Controller to operate and maintain water recycling processes and systems. You will service assets, perform sampling, and ensure regulatory compliance while prioritising safety and efficiency.

The role involves working with a proactive team in a challenging 24/7 environment and may require standby and weekend duties. You will join a dedicated workforce with strong health & safety culture, and opportunities for progression within our water

Qualifications

• Experience in a Field/Engineering environment is ideal.
• Experience in a process/quality assurance environment would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety.
• Must have a Full UK Manual Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain assets (tanks, pumps, screens, valves, motors, meters).
• Perform preventative and reactive servicing and maintenance.
• Carry out process sampling and escalate issues as needed.
• Follow safety policies and maintain housekeeping.
• Minimise energy use while staying compliant.

Works Technician - Process ControllerSalary - Starting at £31,756 with progression opportunities up to £42,873 Basic + standby & overtime paymentsAll tools, PPE, Business use of company van providedFull Time / Permanent, with flexibility for part timeLocation - Haverhill & surrounding areasHours - Our processes operate 24/7, whilst the working hours for this role are generally Monday - Friday, 08.00 - 16.00, we can offer flexibility on the start and finishing times. Please note there is a requirement for standby and occasional weekend working which come with their own pay rates.Water Recycling is at the heart of our operations. The key services that we are responsible for are delivered by our in-house, highly skilled workforce. We collect and treat the water that customers have used, returning it to the environment via rivers and coastal outlets. Opportunity for shared parental payBonus schemeFlexible benefits and working culture to support your wellbeing and lifestyle.Your RoleThe Works Technician Process Controller has a responsibility to ensure that our Water Recycling treatment processes and systems are serviced and maintained within the relevant regulatory compliance - you'll do this by:Operating and maintaining our assets including tanks, pumps, screens, blowers, valves, motors, flow meters, compressors and much more.Performing preventative and reactive servicing and maintenance such as lubrication on the systems above.Carrying out process sampling to ensure things are operating as they should be and escalating any issues.Complying with company safety policy & procedures as well as maintaining good housekeepingExploring and ensuring that we maintain the lowest possible energy demands without compromising complianceIn this role you must be able to work within a confined space, and at height without restrictions.
