Job summary

Dounreay is seeking a Works Control Supervisor to join the Site Services team. You will oversee safe execution of work activities, issuing permits and intervening to maintain safety standards and environmental compliance.

The role requires site experience, knowledge of safety management systems (ideally CITB trained) and the ability to plan, coordinate and monitor work while communicating effectively with multiple teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• HNC in Science/Engineering/Business or equivalent.
• Experience with works control, safety management systems, temporary works and safe systems of work.
• Knowledge of working at height, excavations and confined spaces.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure.
• Post specific physical capability assessment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with facility, maintenance and project teams to ensure work packs and permits are approved and ready for safe execution.
• Assist in planning activities including work scoping, hazard identification, scheduling and risk mitigation.
• Monitor work in progress, ensure compliance with safety documentation and STOP work when required.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support safe and efficient project delivery.
