NRS Dounreay is recruiting an Assistant Environmental Manager to support environmental compliance, regulatory engagement, and continuous improvement across the site. You will act as deputy to the Head of Profession Environment, providing technical support and leadership within a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental, engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in environmental management, permitting, and UK environmental legislation.
• Experience maintaining ISO 14001-certified management systems.
• Strong communication and line management skills; membership of a relevant professional body.

Responsibilities

• Support development and continuous improvement of environmental management systems, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Provide specialist environmental advice, support audits and investigations, and contribute to strategic environmental initiatives.
• Deputise for the Head of Profession Environment and contribute to developing environmental professionals.
• Engage with regulators, operators, and stakeholders and support environmental compliance across the site.
