Job summary

Mencap is seeking dedicated Skills Coaches to join our Worcester Service on a permanent basis. You will drive employability programs, including Supported Internships, and provide tailored support to learners with SEND to help them progress in the workplace.

Responsibilities include 1-1 coaching, helping learners develop employability skills, embedding English and Maths in the workplace, and supporting learning in classrooms.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to achieve targets.
• Strong understanding of safe working practices.
• A good knowledge of the Educational and SEN sectors.
• GCSE English & Maths (A-C/9-4 or equivalent).
• Excellent communication and record-keeping abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead learner progression in the workplace and achieve outcomes for the learner.
• Deliver 1-1 job coaching and develop employability skills.
• Embed English and Maths learning in the workplace.
• Support learning during classroom settings.
• Help learners to achieve sustained paid employment.
