Job summary

Government Recruitment Service in Manchester is recruiting a Workplace Design Standards Manager to support the Workplace Design Standards Lead in delivering design guides and sustainable workplace innovations. You will ensure projects meet brand standards and collaborate with external designers and supply chains to uphold high technical and functional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Workplace Design Standards Lead in preparing and implementing Design Guides and ensuring the products complement and support the Governments wider design strategy
• Inspiring innovation in design and introducing sustainable alternatives to improve the workplace environment
• Ensuring all projects comply with the agreed DWP brand, colour palette and signage/wayfinding requirements
• Providing timely technical direction to external designers and supply chain consultants to meet quality standards
• Managing and resolving technical issues with significant legal or commercial risk
• Advising senior stakeholders throughout the RIBA project stages to advocate smart working and inclusive workspaces
• Reviewing floor plans, test fits and schedules at key project stages
• Approving compliance with or variance from the standards for all Real Estate projects
• Carrying out Post-Occupancy Evaluation and stakeholder engagement sessions and translating feedback into changes to Design Standards
• Running training sessions with supporting teams to improve performance and understanding of key areas
