Job summary

Red Sky Personnel Ltd are recruiting Working Supervisors for a long-term firestopping project at Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater. This hands-on role requires you to oversee firestopping works on site while also carrying out tasks with the team.

Immediate start with a duration of approximately 12 months, with potential for extension. You will supervise standard firestopping works, lead a team, ensure quality and safety standards, and liaise with site management.

Qualifications

• BPSS clearance for Hinkley Point C.
• Proven experience in firestopping / passive fire protection.
• Experience as Working Supervisor / Chargehand / Firestopping Supervisor.
• NVQ Level 2 or NVQ Level 3 in Passive Fire Protection.
• SSSTS certification.
• ILM Level 3 Award for Blue Hat Supervisors.
• IPAF 3A & 3B or PASMA (at least one).
• Knowledge of passive fire protection systems and installation.
• Ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

This is a hands-on working supervisor role, requiring you to oversee firestopping works on site while also carrying out work alongside the team.

Duties

• Supervising and carrying out standard firestopping works

• Leading a team of firestoppers on site

• Ensuring works are completed to the required specification and quality standards

• Monitoring productivity and allocating daily tasks

• Ensuring all operatives are working safely and in accordance with site procedures

• Liaising with site management and other trades

• Completing relevant site documentation and quality records

• Ensuring firestopping installations meet project requirements

• Supporting the team with technical and practical firestopping requirements

Requirements

• Hinkley Point C BPSS clearance required

• Proven experience working in firestopping / passive fire protection

• Previous experience as a Working Supervisor / Chargehand / Firestopping Supervisor

• NVQ Level 2 Passive Fire Protection or NVQ Level 3

• SSSTS

• ILM Level 3 Award qualification for Blue Hat Supervisors

• IPAF 3A & 3B or PASMA preferably at least one

• Strong knowledge of passive fire protection systems and installation

• Ability to lead a team while remaining hands‑on with the work
