Job summary

ARC Group Worldwide is seeking a Working Supervisor to oversee damp and mould works across Cambridge and surrounding areas. You will supervise operatives, carry out hands-on remedial tasks when needed, and ensure work is delivered to high standards with safety compliance.

The role requires a hands-on leader with strong communication skills, SMSTS, and a Full UK driving licence. A company van is provided as part of the package. Mon-Fri permanent full-time position.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Working Supervisor or similar role.
• Experience in social housing, property maintenance or repairs beneficial.
• SMSTS certification and strong health & safety understanding.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate operatives carrying out damp and mould works.
• Carry out hands-on remedial works when required and lead by example.
• Manage contractors and in-house teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Conduct property inspections and quality checks on remedial works.
• Identify issues and ensure appropriate remedial solutions are completed.
• Monitor workloads, schedules and safety compliance on site.
• Liaise with tenants, clients and contractors and provide updates.
• Ensure works meet contract standards and within timescales.
• Complete job sheets, reports and documentation and support the Contract Manager.

Job DescriptionJob Title: Working Supervisor Job Type: Permanent full time position - Monday to Friday Location: Cambridge and surrounding areas Rate of pay: £38,000-£40,000 per annum plus a company van We are currently recruiting for a Working Supervisor to join a reputable social housing contractor, overseeing a Damp & Mould contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate operatives carrying out damp and mould works
• Carry out hands‑on remedial works when required
• Lead by example and support operatives on-site
• Manage contractors and in-house teams to ensure works are completed to a high standard
• Carry out property inspections, quality checks and monitor remedial works
• Identify damp and mould issues and ensure appropriate remedial solutions are completed
• Monitor workloads, schedules and health & safety compliance
• Liaise with tenants, clients and contractors to resolve issues and provide updates
• Ensure works are completed within agreed timescales and contract standards
• Complete job sheets, reports and other relevant documentation
• Support the Contract Manager with day‑to‑day delivery of the damp and mould programme

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Working Supervisor, Supervisor or experienced Multi-Trade Operative
• Previous experience within social housing, property maintenance or responsive repairs
• Experience working on damp and mould remedial works is highly desirable
• Strong practical knowledge of building maintenance and property repairs
• Ability to carry out hands‑on works alongside supervising a team
• Experience carrying out property inspections and quality checks
• SMSTS certification
• Strong understanding of health & safety requirements
• Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills
• Full UK driving licence
