Workday Functional Payroll Analyst

My client, a top global company, is currently seeking a Workday Functional Payroll Analyst to join their team on a contract basis. Please note, if successful, you will need to set up via an Umbrella Company/PAYE. The Workday Functional Payroll Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of the Workday Payroll Module for the UK. As part of the Tech Payroll team, the analyst will handle analysis, configuration, and maintenance in accordance with client policies and Workday procedures.

Key responsibilities for the Workday Functional Payroll Analyst:

  • Maintain and customize the Payroll Module to meet organizational payroll requirements, ensuring compliance with local regulations and policies.
  • Analyze payroll system configurations, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues in collaboration with Workday product owners.
  • Implement system changes, including testing and validating new payroll features during Workday releases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the Workday Payroll Module, working closely with the UK payroll team and cross-functional teams.
  • Document payroll module configurations for future reference.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and enhancements within the payroll module to optimize operations.

Required experience and knowledge:

  • Experience in payroll administration and configuring payroll modules within HRIS systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Experience with Workday Payroll Module is preferred.
  • Knowledge of UK payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in maintaining the Workday Payroll Module.
  • Experience working in a SOC environment.
  • High integrity, ability to manage multiple priorities, and responsibility.
  • Solution-oriented mindset and adaptability to new systems and processes.
  • Motivated to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation for regulatory and internal purposes.
  • Commitment to accuracy and quality, with the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to find solutions and apply Workday software effectively.
