Workday Functional Payroll Analyst - 10 Months - Remote Inside IR35

My client, a top global company, is currently looking to recruit a Workday Functional Payroll Analyst to join their team on a contract basis. Please note, if successful, you will need to set up via an Umbrella Company/PAYE. The Workday Functional Payroll Analyst will be responsible for driving and managing the efficiency and accuracy of the Workday Payroll Module for the UK. As a member of the Tech Payroll team, the analyst will handle analysis, configuration, and maintenance according to client policies and Workday procedures.

Key responsibilities for the Workday Functional Payroll Analyst include:

  • Maintaining and customizing the Payroll Module to meet organizational payroll requirements, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Analyzing payroll system configurations based on team queries, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues in collaboration with other Workday product owners.
  • Implementing system changes, including testing and validating new payroll features introduced through Workday releases.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the Workday Payroll Module, working closely with the UK payroll team and cross-functional teams.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of payroll module configurations for future reference.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements, enhancements, and automation within the payroll module to streamline operations.

Key experience and knowledge required:

  • Proven experience in payroll administration and configuring payroll modules within HRIS systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Experience with the Workday Payroll Module is preferred.
  • Knowledge of UK payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in maintaining the Workday Payroll Module.
  • Experience working in a SOC environment.
  • High integrity and ability to manage multiple priorities responsibly.
  • Solution-oriented mindset and agility in learning new systems and processes.
  • Motivated to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation for regulatory and internal purposes.
  • Commitment to accuracy, quality, and meeting deadlines.
  • Sense of urgency, flexibility, and accountability.
  • Team player willing to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to find solutions and apply Workday software efficiently.
