Job summary

Canopius is implementing Workday Financials and seeks a Data Analyst to join the Application Support team, focusing on Prism Analytics, Accounting Centre and end-to-end Workday data movement. You will participate in UAT, go-live and post-go-live stabilisation, collaborating across Finance, Data, IT and third-party suppliers to resolve data issues.

The role emphasises rapid triage, root-cause analysis and knowledge transfer to the AMS team, with hybrid work 2–3 days a week from the Manchester

Qualifications

• Practical experience supporting data-intensive business applications in a live-service environment.
• Experience with Workday Prism Analytics or Workday Accounting Centre is highly desirable.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data quality, transformation, integration and processing issues.
• Understanding of data pipelines, interfaces, source-to-target mappings and end-to-end data flows.
• Experience supporting UAT, go-live, fix-forward, hypercare or transition-to-service activities for a major system implementation.
• Experience working within structured IT service management processes, including incident, problem, change and release management.
• Ability to translate complex technical findings into clear guidance for users, support colleagues and stakeholders.
• Experience creating support documentation, knowledge articles and operational procedures.
• A collaborative approach, with the confidence to share knowledge and help build capability across the wider team.
• Ability to work effectively in a project environment, prioritising defects and issues during critical delivery and stabilisation.
• Experience transferring knowledge to permanent support teams through training, documentation and collaborative problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-line technical support for Workday data services, including Prism Analytics and Accounting Centre.
• Investigate and resolve data quality issues, processing failures, reconciliation differences and incidents affecting financial outputs.
• Use SQL and other diagnostic tools to analyse data, identify root causes and support resolution.
• Understand and support end-to-end movement of data between source systems, data platforms and Workday Financials.
• Support interfaces feeding Workday, including assessing impact of source-system, configuration and data-structure changes.
• Provide technical analysis for complex incidents and coordinate with Finance, Data, IT and third-party suppliers to restore service.
• Support Workday Financials UAT, go-live, fix-forward activity and transition from project to stable live support.
• Assist with controlled changes and releases via impact assessments, testing, and post-implementation validation.
• Create and maintain clear support documentation, procedures and troubleshooting guides.
• Share specialist knowledge across the Business Applications team via coaching and documentation.
