Job summary

Canopius is implementing Workday Financials with a hybrid work pattern in Manchester. The Workday Data Analyst will join the Application Support team to ensure data services stability, with a focus on Prism Analytics and Accounting Centre, aiding the data movement into Workday during go-live and post-go-live support.

The role emphasizes rapid triage, root-cause analysis and knowledge transfer, delivering practical documentation and training to the AMS team for ongoing live service readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting data-intensive business applications in a live-service environment.
• Experience with Workday Prism Analytics or Workday Accounting Centre is highly desirable.
• Strong SQL skills and data quality/integration issue investigation.
• Understanding end-to-end data flows and interfaces.
• Experience supporting UAT, go-live and stabilisation activities.
• Experience in ITSM processes (incident, problem, change and release management).
• Ability to translate technical findings into clear guidance and create documentation.
• Collaborative approach to share knowledge across teams.
• Ability to train and transfer knowledge to permanent support teams.
• Awareness of access controls and audit requirements in financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-line technical support for Workday data services and data pipelines.
• Investigate and resolve data quality issues and processing incidents affecting outputs.
• Use SQL and diagnostics to analyse data and identify root causes.
• Support end-to-end movement of data between source systems and Workday Financials.
• Assess impact of source-system/configuration changes on Workday interfaces.
• Provide analysis for complex incidents and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Support Workday UAT, go-live, fix-forward and transition to live service.
• Complete impact assessments, testing, implementations and post-implementation validation.
• Create and maintain clear support documentation and procedures.
• Share knowledge across the Business Applications team through coaching and collaboration.
