Northumberland College is seeking a motivated Work Placement Officer to develop strong employer links and coordinate high-quality work placements for learners. The role focuses on supporting students through preparation, matching opportunities to career goals and ensuring welfare and quality standards are met.

You will collaborate with staff and employers, manage records, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment across campuses in Northumberland.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with learners and employers.
• Strong organisation and time management to handle multiple placements.
• Problem-solving and initiative in resolving placement issues.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with employers to secure placements.
• Support learners to prepare for and succeed in work placements.
• Match learners to suitable placements based on skills and goals.
• Monitor placements and provide ongoing support to learners and employers.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure placements meet college standards.
