Job summary

Education Partnership North East is seeking a Work Placement Officer to build strong employer links and coordinate work placements for learners in Northumberland. You will support learners to access placements and align opportunities with career goals, while maintaining records and ensuring quality standards.

The role offers progression opportunities, a permanent contract, and a competitive salary of £25,949 per year.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification or equivalent is required.
• GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) required.
• Experience in education/employability settings preferred.
• Willingness to undertake college-specific training and professional development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisation and time management to handle multiple placements.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with employers to secure high-quality work placement opportunities.
• Support learners to prepare for, access and succeed in their work placements.
• Match learners to suitable placements based on skills and career goals.
• Monitor placements and provide ongoing support; resolve issues that arise.
• Maintain accurate records and collaborate with colleagues to meet requirements and quality standards.
