Job summary

West London College in London is seeking a dedicated Work Experience Coordinator to develop, secure and coordinate high-quality work placements for its Additional Learning Support students. You will build relationships with employers, source placements for Foundation Learning, deliver employability sessions, and ensure placements meet safeguarding, health and safety and funding requirements.

The role also includes coordinating reviews and maintaining records for audits.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with employers to create placement opportunities.
• Source, secure and match industry placements for Foundation Learning students.
• Deliver employability sessions and workshops to small groups of learners.
• Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to ensure placements align with course requirements.
• Monitor student attendance, progress and completion of required placement hours.
• Coordinate employer and student reviews throughout placements.
• Conduct placement administration including agreements, records, compliance and tracking documentation.
• Support employers and students before, during and after placements.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and quality requirements are met.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting linked to funding and audit requirements
• Support interns on the West London College Supported Internship one day per week
