Job summary

Newbury College in Newbury is seeking a Work Experience Co‑ordinator to help young people embark on the world of work. You’ll source and set up placements, work with employers and families, and provide in‑work coaching to learners with diverse needs to build employability and independence.

This role is based on campus with part‑time hours (26.25 per week, 40 weeks per year). A clean driving licence and safeguarding confidence, plus strong communication, coaching and organisational skills, are

Qualifications

• Possess Level 2 English and Maths
• Experience with young people or adults with learning difficulties/disabilities
• Full clean driving licence and business insurance
• Strong communication, coaching and organisational skills

Responsibilities

• Source and set up high‑quality work experience opportunities
• Coordinate placements from short trials to longer apprenticeships
• Work with employers, families and agencies to provide guidance and coaching
• Support employability learning in classroom and real workplace
• Conduct risk assessments and safeguarding checks
• Tailor support using vocational profiling and assessments
• Develop learner independence through travel training and coaching
• Maintain accurate employer and learner records for audits
