Job summary

Heart of Worcestershire College is seeking a Work Experience Job Coach at Worcester campus to help learners develop employability skills and secure meaningful placements. You will collaborate with Personal Tutors and Careers to prepare students for the workplace and expand work opportunities with local employers.

Responsibilities include building employer connections, overseeing placement safety and compliance, and guiding students on CVs and interview techniques.

Qualifications

• All successful candidates will need to complete and pay for a DBS check.
• You will be based at Worcester campus with flexibility to travel across sites.
• Hours: 37 per week, 52 weeks per annum; full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local employers to secure high-quality work placements, projects and guest speaker opportunities.
• Assess, monitor and support work placements, ensuring health and safety, risk assessment and compliance.
• Prepare learners for the workplace with employability, CV, job search and interview skills.
• Monitor student progress during placements with regular employer and learner contact and provide guidance and skills assessment.
• Maintain accurate records and support the careers programme and Gatsby Benchmark objectives.
