Job summary

Newbury College, Inc. is seeking a Work Experience Co-ordinator to shape learners’ futures through high-quality work placements. You will collaborate with tutors, employers and support agencies to tailor guidance and in-work coaching, enabling students to grow confidence and gain employability skills.

You’ll assess risks, support inclusive practice, and maintain accurate records while promoting equality and safeguarding across placements.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people or adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
• A full clean driving licence and business insurance.
• Strong communication, coaching and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing, setting up and maintaining work experience opportunities from short work trials to longer placements and apprenticeships.
• Work closely with employers, parents, carers and support agencies to ensure learners receive guidance and in-work coaching.
• Support employability learning in the classroom and help students apply skills in real workplaces.
• Carry out risk assessments and Health & Safety checks to meet college standards.
