Job summary

Heart of Worcestershire College is seeking a Part Time Personal Tutor in Construction (Worcester) to support induction, THRIVE tutorials and progression planning. The role requires monitoring attendance, safeguarding and close collaboration with curriculum teams to help vulnerable learners succeed.

The post is based on Worcester campus with occasional travel to other locations. Starting salary depends on experience and qualifications, with a salary band set within the college's pay scale.

Qualifications

• Requires Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent.
• Teaching qualification or willingness to gain one.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience developing and delivering learner programmes and support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver THRIVE tutorials and progress reviews.
• Monitor learner progress, attendance and wellbeing.
• Support vulnerable learners and refer to support services.
• Collaborate with curriculum staff and parents/carers to support learners.
• Maintain accurate learner records and progress reports.
• Promote safeguarding and positive behaviour.
