Job summary

University of Portsmouth is seeking a Work-based Tutor (Apprenticeships) to focus on the development and progress of apprentices across on- and off-the-job training. The role involves liaising with a diverse range of employers to ensure benefits for both business and apprentices.

Remote working is available, with a requirement to be on campus in Portsmouth for one day per month, and interviews anticipated on 04 November 2026.

Responsibilities

• Monitor apprentices on a range of apprenticeships in partnership with employers.
• Conduct regular progress review meetings and ensure engagement with learning complies with funding rules.
• Support apprentices with study materials and preparation for End Point Assessment (EPA) and Gateway review.
• Collaborate with course teams and employers to improve the apprentice experience.
