Job summary

Ministry of Justice invites applications for a skilled Woodworker instructor to deliver traditional and modern techniques to prisoners in a workshop setting. The role requires safe operation of woodworking machinery, interpretation of drawings, and the ability to teach, supervise and give constructive feedback.

You will promote high safety standards, manage workshop housekeeping, and contribute to developing prisoners' practical skills through structured training, aligning with MoJ policies.

Qualifications

• Sound practical woodworking knowledge and experience.
• Ability to demonstrate and teach a range of traditional and modern techniques.
• Competent use of common woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and working specifications.
• Experience developing prisoners' practical skills through structured training.
• Commitment to safety and high standards of workshop housekeeping.
