Job summary

KM Education Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Wood Machinist Trainer to deliver field-based training across South London and surrounding areas. This full-time, permanent role offers £28,000–£33,000 depending on skills and experience, and requires travel with occasional overnight stays.

You will deliver theory and practical sessions to learners, either on-site at client sites or at our training academy, and keep learner records updated.

Qualifications

• Solid occupational experience as a Wood Machinist.
• Experience of CNC router operation and programming preferred but not essential.
• Confident delivering theory and practical sessions to learners.
• Must be IT literate.
• Experience delivering on-the-job training is desirable.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Flexible with travel and overnight stays as required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training sessions to learners working towards Wood Machinery courses at client sites or training academy.
• Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop skills, knowledge and behaviours.
• Maintain student records and evidence of performance.
• Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner needs.

Essential Criteria:

• Must hold solid occupational experience as a Wood Machinist.
• Ideally have experience of CNC router operation and programming, though this is not essential.
• Confident and comfortable to deliver theory and practical based sessions to learners.
• Must be IT Literate.
• Experience of delivering on-the-job training to colleagues is highly desirable.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Must be flexible with travel, and overnight stays as required.

Duties include:
