Job summary

The Regenda Group is recruiting a Women's Support Worker in Rochdale. You will provide tailored support to women who are experiencing homelessness and have complex needs within a women's only project.

This permanent, full-time role involves empowering service users, developing community links, and helping individuals build resilience to live independently, with weekend rotation 1 in 3. The role requires compassionate, collaborative teamwork and strong communication.

Salary, Contract & Location


  • Annual salary of £29,504 (FTE)

  • Permanent role

  • Full-time (37 hours)

  • Based in Rochdale

  • You will be required to work 1 in 3 weekends



The role

As a Women's Support Worker at Petrus you will provide support to our female service users at one of our women's only projects. You must be able to work sympathetically with women who have been homeless and have complex needs.


You will work to empower service users, actively engaging them with the community and helping them to support each other, to develop resilience, to live independently and to be an asset to the community.

  • You must be able to assess needs to plan and deliver effective, stimulating and dynamic support.

  • You're able to develop service user, volunteering and community involvement.

  • Demonstrable organisational skills in order to plan your own workload and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.

  • You can manage risk appropriately and ensure that procedures are followed.

  • You may be required to travel to other offices and therefore the ability to travel to places that may not be easily accessible via public transport is necessary.
