Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a WIP Coordinator in Wimborne on a 12-month contract to manage Work in Progress materials and ensure accurate ERP recording. You will work with Stores leads and production teams to optimise material flow and inventory traceability in a regulated manufacturing setting.

The role requires prior stores/warehouse experience, strong IT and ERP skills, and a hands-on, detail-focused approach to support production operations and 5S standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in Stores/Warehouse/Inventory Control or Materials Management environment.
• Experience in regulated industries (Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Electronics, Manufacturing) is advantageous.
• Understanding of WIP processes.
• Experience using ERP, MRP or inventory management systems.
• Strong IT skills and confidence with digital inventory tools.
• Good understanding of safe material handling procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Pick and issue stock parts to production work orders.
• Update ERP system transactions accurately and promptly.
• Maintain full batch control, quality standards and traceability.
• Package items for transportation and storage.
• Manage WIP storage locations to maintain material control.
• Carry out inventory and material movement transactions in the ERP system.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Support 5S and maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Collaborate with production and stores teams to meet operational requirements.
• Undertake additional duties as required.
