Job summary

Holt Engineering Recruitment is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator/Stores Person for a busy manufacturing and engineering business in the UK. You will manage stores, inventory, goods in/out and shipping, ensuring production materials are available and finished goods dispatched on time.

You will have strong warehouse/logistics background, be organised, accurate and proficient with ERP systems and shipping documentation, with experience in shipping, receiving and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping, receiving and inventory management.
• Strong warehouse or stores operations background in manufacturing/engineering.
• Experience with stock control and cycle counting.
• Good understanding of material handling and shipping documentation.
• Experience using ERP or stock management systems.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confident communication with suppliers, couriers and internal departments.
• Ability to multitask and work to deadlines in a busy environment.
• Positive, proactive approach; procurement or inventory control experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Book incoming goods onto the ERP system accurately and promptly.
• Pick and issue parts to ensure production readiness.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments.
• Prepare and complete shipping and receiving documentation.
• Liaise with couriers and manage shipment delays.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies to prevent delays.
• Check received items against purchase orders.
• Ensure stock is labelled, stored and accessible.
• Support production and technical teams with stores queries.
• Maintain a clean, organised stores environment.
• Handle components, including ES D-sensitive items, correctly.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations and other departments.
