Job summary

W Talent are exclusively representing a well-established FMCG manufacturer who are recruiting an Inventory Coordinator on a fixed-term contract to join their Supply Chain team in Redditch.

The Inventory Coordinator will maintain stock records, manage inventory levels and support stock control processes, inbound and outbound movements, and audits, reporting to the Inventory Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in an inventory, stock control or supply chain environment.
• Experience using ERP or inventory management systems.
• Strong understanding of stock control and inventory management processes.
• Experience conducting stock checks, cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Experience investigating and resolving stock discrepancies.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across Warehouse, Purchasing and Production teams.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment.
• Comfortable working in a site-based manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet operational and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP and inventory management systems.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory checks.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes.
• Work closely with Warehouse, Purchasing and Production teams to reconcile stock movements.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and ensure accurate goods receipt and dispatch documentation.
• Monitor stock movements and ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded.
• Produce inventory reports for management, including stock ageing, inventory valuation and usage analysis.
• Support inventory audits by preparing relevant documentation and reports.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of inventory control procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve stock accuracy and reduce stock discrepancies.
• Support initiatives to minimise stock losses and improve inventory efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse and stock space utilisation.
• Work closely with the Inventory Manager to maintain effective inventory control processes.
• Ensure all activities are carried out in line with company Health & Safety procedures.
• Report any stock, system or process issues to the Inventory Manager.

This is a site-based role based in Redditch, offered on a fixed-term contract until January 2028.

The Inventory Coordinator will report to the Inventory Manager and will play an important role in maintaining accurate stock records, managing inventory levels and supporting the smooth flow of materials and goods across the site.

Job Description

The Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining stock accuracy, monitoring inventory levels and investigating discrepancies to ensure materials and products are available when required.

Working closely with Warehouse, Purchasing and Production teams, the role will support stock control processes, inbound and outbound movements, inventory reporting, audits and continuous improvement activity.
