Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in Filton, Bristol invites undergraduates for a 12.5‑month internship starting 16 August 2027. You will join the Wing Repairs SRM team and gain experience in Static Stress, Fatigue & Damage Tolerance, CATIA tools, Digital Mock Up, and automated processes through coding.

This placement offers 35 hours per week with hybrid working options, 25 days holiday, and BPSS security checks; you will work with experienced engineers and develop leadership, collaboration, and

Qualifications

• Undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.
• Studying or studied Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Good knowledge of coding and data analysis techniques.
• Passionate about Aerospace and the civil aircraft market.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Static Stress analysis from first principles to FEA.
• Fatigue and Damage Tolerance analysis.
• Design using CATIA tools and Digital Mock Up; manage configurations.
• Digitalisation through coding to automate processes.
• Project management with repair teams on various projects.
• Gain business and financial knowledge; develop leadership skills.
• Collaborate effectively with a diverse team including customers.
