Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited seeks a skilled FEM engineer to lead Finite Element Modelling and Digital Analysis for stress justification of metallic and composite structures.

You will collaborate with Loads, Design and Stress teams to build GFEM/DFEM/IFEM models, extract results, and support suppliers. The role offers opportunities to develop automation and contribute to future programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Aerospace or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of stress analysis methods.
• Knowledge of static strength behavior under loading.
• Experience with metallic and composite structures.
• Familiarity with airworthiness regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to deliver under tight deadlines with sound engineering rationale.

Responsibilities

• Lead FEM and Digital Analysis activities to support stress analysis.
• Provide technical guidance to Airbus internal and offshore teams and suppliers.
• Support and develop training for early careers and new staff.
• Lead packages of work and integrate with analysis teams.
• Develop methods for future Finite Element Analysis and enhance FEM capability.
• Deploy NGSA and flight dynamics tools for future programs.
