Job summary

Quest Global, located in East Midlands, is seeking a Stress and FEM engineer to develop and validate analysis for aerospace projects. This role involves technical handling of stress analysis with compliance to aerospace standards and innovation in New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes.

Candidates should have a degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, with experience in stress and FEM analyses, as well as strong collaboration abilities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in stress, strength, fatigue, and damage tolerance analyses.
• Experience in rotor dynamics and test rig analysis.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing certification reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct stress analysis on aerospace development projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture requirements.
• Present work at customer review board meetings.

Job Description – Stress and FEM engineer

Quest Global is an engineering services firm that partners with Fortune 500 customers. The role involves developing and validating stress and FEM analysis for aerospace and related aerospace manufacturing projects.

Responsibilities

• Technically handle stress analysis on development projects, ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in requirement capture and execution.
• Stay updated on emerging tools, technologies, designs and manufacturing methods.
• Conduct analyses and contribute to innovation in New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams and project management to align objectives and progress.
• Solve day‑to‑day problems in design processes.
• Present work concisely at customer review board meetings.

Demonstratable Experience In FEM Analyses Of

• Stress, strength, fatigue, damage tolerance / fracture mechanics
• Rotor dynamics
• Development and test rig analysis and integration
• Establishment of test rig analysis approach and customer approval
• Preparation and review of certification reports and design record book
• Performing design and stress calculations

Education Requirements

• Degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, aerospace, or aeronautical engineering preferred.

Computer/Software Tools

• Hypermesh
• ANSYS Workbench / ANSYS Classic or similar tool
• Life and fracture mechanic tools
• UG NX, PLM Teamcenter
• Proficient with PC‑based Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
