Job summary

Majestic Wine in Stroud is seeking a dynamic Sales Assistant to support the store team, drive sales performance and manage day-to-day operations. You will deliver outstanding customer service and ensure a memorable shopping experience for every customer.

The role requires an evenings/weekends availability, 40 hours per week, and a full UK manual driving licence. Salary is £26,436.80 with opportunities across multiple nearby locations.

Qualifications

• Time-management, delegation and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience with every visit.
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team.
• Passion for wine with willingness to progress WSET qualifications.
• Full UK manual driving licence for at least 12 months with up to 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and meeting targets.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to drive loyalty and repeat purchases.
• Provide VIP updates on products and tastings to customers.
• Share product knowledge and stories to sell beyond discount.
• Maintain store appearance and handle day-to-day store operations.
• Assist with stock deliveries, merchandising and outreach to customers.
• Identify improvements to optimise store operations and communicate with the team.
• Ensure safety, compliance and completion of mandatory training.
