Job summary

Majestic Wine Birmingham is seeking a dynamic Sales Assistant to support the store team, drive sales and ensure the day-to-day running of the shop. You will deliver excellent customer service and help create an outstanding shopping experience for every customer.

With a passion for wine and a willingness to learn, you’ll grow your knowledge toward WSET level 2, handle stock and operate as a key holder, opening and closing the store while maintaining high standards.

• A can-do attitude with a passion for solving problems.

• Wine knowledge is beneficial; willing to pursue Level 2 WSET.
• Must hold a full UK manual driving licence (12+ months) with ≤6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximizing sales opportunities and supporting the team to meet targets.
• Deliver exceptional market-leading customer service to drive loyalty and repeat purchases.
• Offer a VIP concierge service and keep customers updated on products and tastings.
• Sell the story, sharing passion for our range with in-depth product knowledge.
• Maintain wine knowledge and work toward WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
• Own the store's appearance and maintenance, both inside and out.
• Participate in all day-to-day store operations, including deliveries, merchandising and calling customers.
• Identify opportunities to improve store operations and share ideas with the team.
