Majestic Wine in Amersham is recruiting a Trainee Manager as part of a 12-month development programme designed to prepare you for future store management. You will support store performance and deliver outstanding customer service while following a structured career pathway with mentorship from the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Team player in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience to every customer.
• Prioritise and solve problems in high pressure environments.
• Self-motivated and able to work alone or in a team.
• Can-do attitude with passion to see problems through to solutions.
• Adaptable and resilient to changing business demands.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Wine knowledge is beneficial; passion to learn more and pursue WSET qualifications.
• Hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months with up to 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximizing sales opportunities and KPI improvements.
• Deliver market-leading customer service to drive loyalty and repeat purchases.
• Offer a VIP concierge service with updates on products and tastings.
• Sell the story through product knowledge, tastings, and events.
• Develop wine knowledge to support WSET qualifications and confident selling.
• Maintain store appearance and upkeep, both inside and out.
• Participate in day-to-day operations like deliveries and stock checks.
• Identify improvements to optimise store operations and compliance with policies.
