Job summary

Majestic Wine Totnes is seeking a Sales Assistant to support the store team in driving sales and delivering an exceptional shopping experience. You will be an ambassador for the store, offering a VIP service, learning about our range, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

You will contribute to KPI targets, maintain store appearance, and participate in scheduling that includes evenings and weekends. A full UK driving license is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Wine knowledge is beneficial but passion to learn more is essential to pass level 2 WSET wine qualifications.
• Hold a full UK, manual transmission driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting the team to meet targets.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to drive business growth and customer loyalty.
• Offer VIP concierge service, contacting customers with updates on products and tastings.
• Sell the story not the discount, sharing passion for the product with customers.
• Maintain store appearance and ensure compliant, safe operations.
• Support in day-to-day store operations including deliveries, merchandising and stock management.
• Identify opportunities to improve store operations and share solutions with the team.
• Be a model of Majestic’s Ways of Working and mentor junior staff.
