Job summary

Statkraft, a leading renewable energy company, is seeking a Wind Farm Technician to safeguard the operation of wind assets at our Thurso site in Scotland. You will perform planned and corrective maintenance on wind turbines across multiple brands, adhering to safety standards and contractual commitments.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Willingness to travel on short notice.
• Ability to interpret wind turbine electrical, mechanical and hydraulic schematics.
• Competent in high‑voltage operations as part of BoP.
• Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and industry developments.
• AT and SAP status is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive, collaborative and safety‑first working environment.
• Support the Site Manager and Lead Technician in delivering Statkraft's operational requirements.
• Execute maintenance, repairs and fault‑finding activities across Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) and Balance of Plant (BoP) equipment.
• Ensure contractual and customer service obligations are met.
• Utilise maintenance systems and reporting tools to support performance and continuous improvement.
• Provide hands‑on technical support for multi‑brand wind turbine and power delivery systems.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture, including the authority to stop work where necessary.
• Participate in all required operational, technical and safety training programmes.
• Maintain relevant authorisations and competencies, including AT and SAP status.
