Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment seeks a Wind Turbine Service Engineer to cover a Scotland patch, providing planned and reactive maintenance on onshore turbines with full UK driving licence and the ability to travel and stay away as needed.

Earn £35,000–£45,000 with door-to-door pay, unlimited overtime, company benefits, and specialist Vestas training. No on-call rota; UK-wide energy sector career development and field service opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working on wind turbines or similar.
• Mechanical, electrical or multi-skilled engineering background.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willing to travel across Scotland and stay away during the week when required.

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive maintenance on onshore wind turbines.
• Servicing, inspection and fault-finding across turbine systems.
• Mechanical, electrical and/or hydraulic maintenance depending on experience.
• Repair and replacement of turbine components in line with OEM standards.
• Diagnosing and resolving technical faults.
• Completing service reports and maintenance documentation.
• Working safely at height in remote wind farm environments.
• Covering a Scotland-based patch with national travel when required.
• Weekly stayaways required depending on project location.
