Job summary

Equals One Ltd is seeking a Bench Engineer/Field Service Engineer to repair, service and maintain wheelchairs from our Huntington workshop with occasional field-based work.

The role involves processing repairs, keeping accurate paperwork, and ensuring compliance with infection control and safety policies. A full driving licence and DBS disclosure are required, with on-call duties and a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Organised and can work to a plan.
• Good communicator with clear written notes.
• Must be able to fault find and diagnose issues.
• Neat and tidy writing in all paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Repair, service and maintain wheelchairs as directed.
• Process all repair/servicing paperwork daily.
• Label and collate warranty and scrap returns.
• Follow infection control policy at all times.
• Assist in clinical appointments with healthcare professionals.
• Carry out admin duties as required.
• Ensure parts are allocated from Stores through the stores process.
• Maintain professional appearance and approach at all times.
• Be on-call engineer rota with extra pay for standby.
