Job summary

AJM Healthcare in Harrow is seeking a Field Service Engineer to maintain wheelchairs for NHS wheelchair users across the local region, ensuring high standards of care and customer experience. You will be hands-on with installation, repair and basic stock checks, while handling paperwork, vehicle checks and on-call duties.

This role requires a valid UK driving license and an enhanced DBS check, with costs covered by the company. Closing Date: 9 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Enthusiastic field service and mechanical maintenance mindset.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the delivery, collection, installation and repairing of wheelchairs in patient’s homes and other locations across the local region.
• Understand and demonstrate the correct functionality and safe installation of items; repair and replace damaged or faulty stock.
• Appropriate and accurate processing of all paperwork.
• Ensure vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
• Follow PPE regulations and infection control processes.
• Participate in the on-call rota (enhanced allowance during this period).

What we are looking for:

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Field Service Engineer to join our logistics team in the maintenance of wheelchairs for our NHS wheelchair users within the surrounding areas whilst ensuring great customer experience is maintained throughout. The successful candidate will be an experienced maintenance/mechanical professional who will demonstrate an empathic and resilient manner when faced with challenging situations.They will showcase willingness to always go the extra-mile for all of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

To be considered for this role, you must hold a valid UK driving license with no more then 6 valid points on for insurance purposes.

This position is working in a regulated environment and will therefore be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure check.Cost will be covered by the Company.
