Job summary

ITS Property Maintenance is seeking an experienced General Builder / Wet Trade Multi-Trader to join our social housing maintenance team, covering CB10, CB11, CM22, CM23 and CM24. The role involves a mix of day-to-day repairs, some planned works and general maintenance within occupied properties.

You will perform bricklaying, paving, slabbing, concreting and patch plastering with minimal supervision, delivering high-quality repairs and keeping safety and tenant comfort in focus.

Qualifications

Covering a geographical area covering CB10, CB11, CM22, CM23, and CM24

Own van would be the preference, but business mileage will be paid weekly

£27 per hour

Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced General Builder / Wet Trade Multi-Trader with skills in Bricklaying, Paving, Slabbing, concreting and Patch Plastering to join a busy social housing maintenance team working across properties in CB10, CB11, CM22, CM23, and CM24. This is a long-term temporary position carrying out a mixture of day-to-day repairs, some planned works, and general maintenance within occupied properties.

The ideal candidate will be a strong external works tradesperson with reliable multi-trade skills and the ability to work independently, delivering high-quality repairs to a good standard. They should also have thermal boarding experience and ideally additional skills in carpentry or plumbing.

Key Responsibilities

• Bricklaying (Garden walls, face work, pointing etc.)
• Completing minor patch work through to potential full board and skim, renewals and installations in occupied properties
• Paving
• Slabbing
• Concreting
• Aid and adaption works i.e. creating ramps to external properties
• General Painting (internal)
• Working towards a first-time fix wherever possible
• Planning and managing your own daily workload to meet contract SLAs
• Logging works accurately and completing daily job sheets
• Ensuring all work meets high standards of safety and quality
• Providing a professional, respectful service to tenants
• Reporting any additional or follow-on works required
• Maintaining van stock, equipment and materials
• Working independently or as part of a team when required

Essential Criteria

• Experience working in occupied residential settings
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Ability to work independently across a dispersed housing patch

Desirable Criteria

• Previous social housing repairs experience
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Plastering or Brickaying of time-served equivalent
• Experience using a PDA's of job sheets
• Understanding of responsive repairs and maintenance environments
• Knowledge of SOR codes would be helpful but not initial

ITS Property Maintenance are acting as an employment business for this vacancy.

To achieve the upper pay bracket you must show good experience of working on social housing repair contracts.

The advertised rates are based on working CIS but a PAYE and holiday payment method and rate can be discussed, but this will mean a slight reduction in the advertised headline rate.
