Job summary

Paragon Social Care Limited is seeking dedicated Children's Support Workers across the West Midlands to provide trauma-informed care and support to vulnerable children in local authority care. This role involves building trusting relationships, promoting routines, and enabling transitions with empathy and resilience.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, paid or voluntary.
• Full UK drivers licence and your own car.
• Patience, empathy and emotional resilience.
• Flexible with waking nights, weekends and sleep-ins.
• Clear enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
• NVQ Level 3 in Children Residential Care or equivalent is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to keep young people safe and supported.
• Build positive relationships and promote healthy routines.
• Prepare meals, support education and life skills.
• Advocate for their voice and ensure they feel heard and valued.
• Support medical appointments and community activities.
