Job summary

Paragon Social Care Limited is recruiting Children's Support Workers across the West Midlands to provide trauma-informed care and supportive supervision for vulnerable children.

Join a passionate team delivering meals, education support, life skills and advocacy for each child, with training provided. Roles involve flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, and use of your own car for transport where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, paid or voluntary.
• Full UK driver’s licence and your own car.
• Patience, empathy and emotional resilience.
• Flexible approach including sleeping shifts, weekends and nights.
• Clear enhanced DBS or willingness to complete one.
• NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to keep young people safe and supported.
• Build positive relationships and promote healthy routines.
• Prepare meals, support education, and encourage life skills.
• Advocate for the child’s voice and ensure they feel heard.
• Support medical appointments and community activities.
• Use your own vehicle to transport young people when needed.
• Help them move forward with confidence into their next chapter.
