Job summary

Paragon Social Care is seeking compassionate and resilient Children’s Support Workers to join our team. You will provide trauma-informed care, build trusting relationships, support education and daily routines, and advocate for young people in care.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people (paid or voluntary).
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own car.
• Patience, empathy, and emotional resilience.
• Flexibility to work waking nights, weekends, and sleep-ins.
• A clear enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed, compassionate care.
• Build trusting relationships and create positive daily routines.
• Support education, life skills, and independence.
• Prepare meals and promote healthy lifestyles.
• Advocate for young people and ensure their voices are heard.
• Support medical appointments and community activities.
• Transport young people using your own vehicle when required.
