Job summary

Paragon Social Care Limited is seeking Children’s Support Workers across the West Midlands to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care for children and young people in local authority care. You’ll help with daily routines, education support, and safe transport when needed.

We offer extensive training, flexible agency schedules, a casual dress code, and a company pension. Strong preference for NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care, but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, paid or voluntary.
• Full UK driver’s license and your own car.
• Patience, empathy and emotional resilience.
• Willingness to work waking nights, weekends and sleep-ins when required.
• A clear enhanced DBS or willingness to complete one.
• NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to keep young people safe and supported.
• Build positive relationships and promote healthy routines.
• Prepare meals, support education, and encourage life skills.
• Advocate for their voice and ensure they feel heard and valued.
• Support medical appointments and community activities.
• Use your vehicle to transport young people when needed.
• Help them move forward with confidence into their next chapter.
