Job summary

Paragon Social Care Limited is recruiting Children's Support Workers across the West Midlands to help vulnerable young people. You will provide compassionate, trauma-informed care and build positive relationships.

Role includes training, flexible shifts including nights and weekends, and opportunities for progression; a DBS check is required and a full UK driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, paid or voluntary.
• A full UK driver’s licence and your own car.
• Patience, empathy, and emotional resilience.
• Flexible approach, including waking nights, weekends, and sleep-ins.
• A clear enhanced DBS or willingness to complete one.
• A relevant qualification, such as an NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care or equivalent, is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to keep young people safe and supported.
• Build positive relationships and promote healthy routines.
• Prepare meals, support education, and encourage life skills.
• Advocate for their voice, ensuring they feel heard and valued.
• Support medical appointments and community activities.
• Use your own vehicle to transport young people when needed.
• Help them move forward with confidence into their next chapter.
