Job summary

Coleg Cambria is seeking a Work Based Learning Practitioner (Welsh Essential) for Health and Social Care - Children and Young People. Based in Deeside, this full-time, permanent role offers a salary of £33,912–£38,218 per year.

You will assess qualifications, manage a learner caseload across North Wales, deliver knowledge sessions, and support learners to compile e-portfolios. Welsh language skills are essential and a TAQA/QA qualification pathway is supported.

Qualifications

• Welsh language skills are essential for this post.
• Must hold or be willing to work towards TAQA assessor qualification.
• Must hold or be willing to work towards a QA qualification (401 TAQA Unit).
• Level 2 English and Maths (grade 4/C or above) required.
• Digital Literacy Level 2 qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess the full range of qualifications within Health and Social Care - CYP in line with awarding organisation requirements.
• Work with a caseload of learners across North Wales as per college caseload formula.
• Conduct Initial Assessment for learners and enrolment on courses; provide coaching, mentoring and learning opportunities.
• Deliver underpinning knowledge sessions to learners 1-1 or in workshops (max group size 8).
• Monitor learners’ progress, provide constructive feedback and guide to prepare e-portfolio evidence.
• Assess learner portfolios and present for internal quality assurance.
