TeacherActive Ltd in Newtown, SY16, is seeking a Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant for a Welsh-medium primary school. The role is long-term, on-site, full-time and starts immediately, with a PAYE arrangement and ongoing support from consultants.

You will work across year groups, supporting pupils’ learning and helping develop Welsh language skills. A Level 2/3 TA qualification is desirable, with strong classroom management and communication.

Qualifications

• Welsh fluency in spoken and written Welsh.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable.
• Experience with children across different primary year groups.
• Understanding of Curriculum for Wales.
• Excellent communication and classroom management.

The school prides itself on providing a friendly, inclusive and supportive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and Welsh language skills.

The school is looking to take on a Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, starting immediately. The successful Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant will be working across different year groups throughout the school, supporting pupils with their learning, working closely with class teachers to deliver engaging activities and helping children achieve their full potential through the medium of Welsh.

Requirements and Responsibilities

• Fluency in Welsh, with the ability to communicate confidently in both spoken and written Welsh
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
• Experience working with children across different primary school year groups
• A good understanding of the Curriculum for Wales
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• A positive, patient and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning
