TeacherActive Ltd. is seeking a fluent Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant for a primary school in the Merthyr Tydfil area. The role supports nursery and Early Years, with a Welsh ethos and flexible, long-term temporary engagement.

The candidate should have a Teaching Assistant/Childcare qualification or at least 6 months of child experience, strong Welsh language skills, and excellent communication. Working hours are 08:30–15:30, on-site, with competitive daily pay.

The Primary School are looking for a

fluent Welsh speaking Teaching Assistant on a long term basis, potentially ongoing for the full academic year to support their nursery class. The successful candidate will

need to be able to

speak the Welsh language fluently and will need to be experienced working with children across Early Years and Foundation Phase. You will need to be flexible between the working times of 08:30am – 15:30pm and be able to get stuck in with the schooling life, ensuring all pupils are engaged in their learning.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• A Teaching Assistant/Childcare qualification OR at least 6 months experience working with children
• Fluent verbal and written Welsh
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• Ability to build valued and trusted relationships with students
• A can-do, positive attitude and approach to their work
• Patience and ability to remain calm under stressful situations
